"BROWNSHOLME Hall, at Bashall Eaves, has been presented with a prestigious Highly Commended Hudson's Heritage Industry Award for Renovation and Restoration. The inaugural awards, launched by Hudson's Heritage Group, are designed to honour achievement and success in the UK leisure heritage industry. They were presented during a celebratory lunch at the Marriott Grosvenor Square, in London, with celebrity hosts Loyd Grossman and Lucinda Lambton. Hudson's Heritage is already the UK market leader in heritage publishing and now the company is set to become the pre-eminent heritage leisure travel brand in the UK with a number of exciting new initiatives including its industry awards. They recognise excellence in the heritage leisure industry across 13 categories, from restoration and wedding venues through to hidden gems and best gardens. The judging panel selected 13 winners and 12 venues were also given Highly Commended awards. The award for Browsholme Hall recognises the work done in restoring the historic Tithe Barn and associated buildings, sensitively converting them to a wide range of new uses including as an outstanding venue for weddings and other social events. "The quality of the entries was incredibly high," said Ed Beale, of Hudson's Heritage. "This is a year of expansion for us and we were delighted with the response from the industry. Brownsholme Hall demonstrated creativity, commitment and enthusiasm and we're delighted to help them celebrate their great success. "We look forward to seeing the great work continue!"
